Pamela Anderson ‘thrilled’ to be entering the skincare business

Pamela Anderson is getting into the skincare business.

The 56-year-old actress and author has gained attention in recent times by ditching her previous propensity for heavy makeup in favour of a fresh-faced look instead.

Now, she’s revealed she is taking her ‘less is more’ influence further, by joining minimalist skincare brand Sonsie as a co-founder and co-owner.

The premium skincare company, founded by German-born model and influencer Marie von Behrens-Felipe in 2023, currently offers just three products — a mask, a serum and a balm. The brand says Sonsie is a Scottish term that means to have a healthy appearance, both inside and out.
“I’m thrilled to share that, as of today, I have officially joined Sonsie Skin as co-founder and new owner,” Anderson shared in a post on her Instagram.
“Sonsie is an emerging, beautiful, vegan & cruelty-free skincare company with an important message that I want to help share with the world.”

The star said she personally believes true beauty is about celebrating authenticity, in line with her recent comments about ditching society’s beauty standards as feeling “freeing.”

“I want to look like myself, feel like myself, and that means taking care of myself — inside and out,” she says in the new post.

“I believe our differences are what make us beautiful and interesting to one another… The goal is to realize our own purpose on earth… and it starts with believing in ourselves… to have courage… to be what no one else is, and find strength in that — It goes beyond healthy skin.”

The Canada-born star says entering the beauty business now, means she can do it while staying true to her beliefs. ” I am so proud to be a part of this world… and on my terms, finally.”

“Marie von Behrens-Felipe called Anderson an ‘icon, trailblazer, and someone I admire deeply’ in a statement announcing the new partnership.

“We share the same values and vision: for everyone to accept, celebrate, and love their true selves; to feel good in our own skin,” she said.

Sonsie’s website says the brand is ‘continually innovating and formulating with our chemists and lab partners’ and new products can be expected soon.
