Get the look: Everyone at the Met Gala was wearing this one makeup item
Pink makeup is set to reign for the foreseeable future. That's if the red carpet at this year's Met Gala is anything to go by.

While rosy pink lipstick has been popular recently, especially at this year’s Emmy Awards, it was a pink blush that was the common makeup denominator at fashion’s biggest night of the year, The Met Gala in New York.

A soft wash of gently radiant blush was worn by a swathe of attendees, no matter their age, skin tone or outfit.

It’s not really surprising, given the harsh red carpet lights can sometimes make attendees look washed out, but it used to be bronzer or contour that makeup artists reached for.

Now, it’s that pink blush, a surprisingly flattering beauty product that delivers a youthful, fresh glow and helps you look more awake.

Worn high on the outer edges of cheeks and swept up beside the corner of the eyes, the placement gives the illusion that you have higher cheekbones and naturally lifted skin.

The pink blush was paired with a variety of different lip hues, from raspberry red to peachy-nude. Some chose a gently glimmering radiant blush texture to mimic the glossy or dewy finish to their lip colour while others went for a matte product to match their matte lipstick.
