Celebrities walked a green-tinged white carpet up the famous stairs of New York’s Metropolitan museum, there to celebrate this year’s exhibit, ““Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” The theme explores the museum’s fragile and delicate designs that can never be worn again, displaying them in new ways with installations that include CGI, light projections, soundscaping, video animation and even scent.
Approximately 250 garments and accessories spanning four centuries are part of the exhibition.
Guests have been invited to follow a dress code of “The Garden of Time,” a nod to JG Ballard’s 1962 tale, so expect plenty of floral details and perhaps the odd fruit or two.
This year’s co-chairs, who host the famous event alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour, are Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, and Bad Bunny.
