When it comes to runway shows no one does them quite like Chanel, but this Paris Fashion Week it wasn’t an elaborate backdrop that everyone was talking about. Instead, it was an unexpected gatecrasher who took to the catwalk at the end of the collection. Parisian comedian, Marie S’Infiltre, snuck on stage during yesterday’s show which was held at the Grand Palais.
Security guards were left floundering as S’Infiltre was dressed in a vintage black-and-white Chanel outfit that seamlessly blended in with the rest of the collection being shown.
“I’ve always dreamed of becoming a Chanel muse,” S’Infiltre told Forbes. “Chanel is eternal, my tribute was a desire to take part in this eternity for a few minutes.” According to the publication, the vintage Chanel suit was from 1986 and she had taken in from her mother’s closet. “That’s why I look like a grandma on the catwalk,” added S’Infiltre.
While many of the models appeared unperturbed by S’Infiltre’s surprise catwalk appearance, Gigi Hadid was less impressed by the gatecrasher. As S’Infiltre reached the end of the catwalk an obviously unimpressed Hadid escorted the comedian off stage. Unsurprisingly, S’Infiltre told Forbes that once she got backstage she wasn’t warmly received.
