Ashton Kutcher tears up as he talks about his vasculitis diagnosis, while Jane Fonda gets real about eating disorders in the trailer for the new health-focussed TV series.

Cancer Specialist Dr David Agus sits down with a number of A-list celebrities in his new series, The Checkup With Dr David Agus. The series follows celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Ashton Kutcher, Jane Fonda, Amy Schumer and Nick Cannon as they open up about health issues and their wellbeing.

Following his recently-revealed diagnosis of vasculitis, a rare disease that left him unable to see or hear for a time, Kutcher gets emotional as he speaks with Dr Agus. “I was unable to walk, and then suddenly you can’t see,” says Kutcher. Later on, he gets emotional as he is interviewed alongside his twin brother, Michael Kutcher, who suffers from cerebral palsy

Jane Fonda is another celebrity featured in the series, who gets candid about her struggles with eating disorders. “I would have wanted to say to myself, ‘Do anything you possibly can to stop with the bulimia and anorexia’,” she tells Dr Agus. Meanwhile, Oprah gets open about menopause, saying: “Oh we’re talking about the ‘big M’ today. I love this.”
