5 Quick Tips For Achieving Healthy Shiny Hair
Healthy, shiny hair is the goal for most of us, but it often doesn't happen overnight.

The amount of information and products available can make haircare seem overwhelming, however, having a simple routine can usually do the trick.

Agnieszka Kozlowska, wellness expert and owner of supplements brand Miracle Leaf, has shared her tips for protecting your locks.

Regular scalp massages

Scalp massages are something that you can easily do when you are washing your hair in the shower or bath.

“Massaging your scalp stimulates blood flow, promoting nutrient delivery to hair follicles,” Agnieszka says. “It encourages natural oil production, keeping your scalp moisturised and supporting healthy hair growth, combatting dandruff in the process. Give your scalp some love with weekly massages using nourishing oils like coconut, jojoba, or even olive oil.”

Food is fuel

Your diet can have an impact on your hair.

“Nourish your hair from the inside out! Eat a balanced diet rich in proteins, vitamins (especially A, C, and E), and minerals like iron and zinc,” Agnieszka recommends. “These vitamins and minerals support hair growth, strength, and repair.”

Regular hydration

Drinking water regularly can help promote healthy hair.

“Hydration is vital for maintaining hair elasticity, preventing breakage, and fostering a healthy scalp,” the expert says. “Aim for around 8 glasses a day to keep your body and your mane hydrated. For your hair, regular cleansing and deep conditioning are key.”

Regular trims

Getting rid of your split ends regularly will make your hair look healthier and can promote hair growth.

“Schedule regular trims (every 6-8 weeks) to remove split ends and prevent them from travelling up the hair shaft,” Agnieszka advises. “If left alone, this can cause breakage and make your hair look thin and unhealthy.”

Don’t over wash

Overwashing your hair can leave your hair feeling brittle and unhealthy.

“Unless your hair gets oily super fast, skip the daily washing. Over-shampooing can strip away your hair’s natural oils, leaving it dry and brittle,” Agnieszka warns. “Instead, try co-washing with a conditioner. This gentle cleanse will remove dirt and product buildup without stripping your precious moisture.”
