” I think the last few years, impacted by lockdowns, really saw a refocus on skin and taking care of yourself, and your health to bring about that glow from within, says Horsley.
“While this has remained absolutely relevant, this year has seen the rise in experimentation and mood boosting beauty. If you want to rock a marigold eyeshadow and it puts a smile on your face, go for it! Have fun and don’t hold back.”

Glam but grunge
“The grunge makeup aesthetic is making a return! I am loving the smudgy, heavy liner, faux freckles and deeper lip colours. This trend has been further catapulted into the everyday by the rise of Wednesday Addams and the viral beauty trends on TikTok.”
Colour, colour, colour!
“It’s here to stay and to experiment with. We will see more colour in a variety of textures for the ultimate self-expression. I think a lot more people will be willing to try something different. It’s all about texture and placement so, start small with a fun bright coloured eyeliner and work your way up to that graphic tiffany blue cat eye! Think pinks, greens and blues.”
Cool-tone comeback
“Cool-tones are back in a big way. Think dove grey, pewter, graphite and charcoal. These shades are all super flattering for a smoky eye.”
Updos!
“Simple buns and sleek chignons, but also bigger, more intricate, sculptural, tousled styles.”
Clean, simple makeup
“Coverage will be even lighter; blush and shadow texture will be more seamless and cut creases will relax even further. It will be a return to clean simple makeup that amplifies the natural face. Not necessarily neutral, but just beautiful washes of color and an overall, a very relaxed, effortless look.”
