Thousands of fans came out to wave Union Jacks to farewell Kate and Will at the Civic Centre in Wellington, despite dreary weather conditions.
The royal couple slowly made their way around fans, waving hands and appearing in no rush at all.
Earlier this morning, the royal couple visited the Royal New Zealand Police College in Wellington, giving some very cute police pups the royal treatment.
The Cambridges then attended a wreath laying ceremony at the Memorial Wall to honour police officers killed in the line of duty.
Kate was dressed in a blue tweed Rebecca Taylor skirt suit and navy suede Alexander McQueen pumps.
They will be arriving in Sydney later today.
