Kiwi actress and MiNDFOOD July cover star, Melanie Lynskey faces a deadly Jessica Biel in the newly-released trailer for Candy.
The limited Hulu series tells the true crime story of Candy Montgomery (Biel), a Texas housewife who turns on her best friend Betty Gore (Lynskey), leading to a shockingly fatal ending.
The “disturbingly true events” which the series is based off took place in 1980 and saw Candy accused of murdering her neighbour Betty with an axe.
Candy is produced by the team behind The Act, and also stars Timothy Simons (Veep), Raúl Esparza, Sharon Conley, and Jason Ritter, Lynskey’s husband in real-life.
Candy is available now on Hulu and Disney+.
