An unlikely duo¬†are fronting the latest Spring/Summer womenswear advertising campaign from¬†Louis Vuitton. Jaden Smith and Lightning – a video game character from Final Fantasy XXIII – feature in the campaign which, according to Creative Director Nicolas¬†Ghesqui√®re, weaves a narrative about the¬†modern-day, multi-faceted heroine.
While Smith is no neophyte when it comes to pushing sartorial boundaries, the Louis Vuitton campaign is the young up-and-coming rapper debut in the modelling world. As for why Ghesqui√®re chose Smith to feature in the campaign: “He represents a generation that has assimilated the codes of true freedom, one that is free of manifestos and questions about gender. “
