Victoria Beckham’s beauty and wellness routine has some seriously useful tips

Victoria Beckham’s beauty and wellness routine has some seriously useful tips
The 49-year-old star stays committed to her routine but has fun with it too, often offering a humorous peek into her life and beauty approach.

Though former Spice Girl-turned-designer Victoria Beckham first turned her hand to fashion after stepping away from the mega-girl-group, it has always been apparent she loves beauty.

Founder of her own eponymous fashion and beauty brands, Victoria often appears on her brand’s social media feeds, explaining the makeup items she loves and how she uses them in her own way, on her own face.

Often she shares the secrets of their development, for example a problem she has solved or other products she liked but couldn’t find, so she developed herself.  She even called created a lipstick, with plenty of variations on her favoured brown-nude lip colour, after her famous nickname – Posh.

Over the years she’s revealed plenty about how she looks great and stays healthy. Here’s what we’ve learned about her approach.

She has regular skin treatments

Victoria has spoken of her love for a good skin treatment that combines top-quality skincare with skin-boosting add-ons. She has shared her penchant for facial massage and LED light therapy visiting well-known UK facialists Sarah Chapman and Melanie Grant. In a recent video Victoria admitted she has also undergone laser resurfacing, appearing in a video with Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr Ashkan Ghavami, talking about the benefits of the treatment.

How my skin looked after that last treatment, it’s never looked so good,” she says. “That’s why I want to do more.”

She uses top skincare at home

“I like to use very powerful formulas that have many benefits and include key active ingredients like niacinamide [and] hyaluronic acid,” she has said in the past. In particular, she loves luxe advanced skincare brand Augustinus Bader which contains TFC8 technology that work on improving cellular health.

So convinced was she on the brand’s formulas, instead of developing her own skincare for Victoria Beckham Beauty she teamed up with Augustinus Bader to create two products, Cell Rejuvenating Power Serum and Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer containing the patented  TFC8 technology.

She recently shared three products she uses everyday.

“After I cleanse in the morning I use my Cell Rejuvenating Power Serum,” she says.

“What I love about it is that it’s not sticky at all, it’s like a drink for my skin. I’ve noticed such a big difference with the fine lines around my eyes and the size of the pores on my nose. The other product I’ve been using for years is Augustinus Bader The Cream.”

She goes on to say she requested Bader collaborate with her on a slightly lighter more glowy version – Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer –  and she says she uses all three each day to help boost her signature radiance.

But she doesn’t mind a budget beauty buy

Though the pricey Augustinus Bader products are her favourite, she’s also gone on record as saying she loves another, more affordable natural skincare product: Weleda’s ultra-rich Skinfood moisturiser.

What I love about it is that it’s not particularly expensive and you can find it anywhere,” she told Into The Gloss of the easily-accessible salve that’s perfect for dry skin, particularly on elbows, knees and cuticles.

“The formula is so thick and buttery. When I have a tan, I’ll mix it with coconut oil—the same you use to cook with—and cover my entire body with it. I suppose some people may not like the greasiness, but it helps me hold on to the color. I go through so many of these. I wish they had bigger ones.”

She also shared she loves adding epsom salts to a deep bath to relax and unwind.

She loves quick and easy makeup tips that make a big difference

Victoria loves a beauty hack, giving followers an inside look at the secrets professionals use, like making lips look fuller and eyes look brighter.

“I’ve never used this on my mouth before, but it makes my lips look so much bigger,” she announced after applying a highlighter to the top edges of her lips.

She has has described her signature makeup look as ‘soft, smoky, eye-opening, and a bit undone,’ regularly relying on her own brand’s Satin Kajal Liners for an easy eye look. She currently favours the warm brown shade with a touch of shimmer called Cinnamon, running it along her lash lines and smudging slightly with her finger or a brush.

To make her eyes look a little clearer and wider she applies a nude pencil along the inner rim of her lower eyelid.

“I distinctly remember the first time a makeup artist used a nude pencil along my waterline, ” she says. “I looked instantly polished and like I’d had 8 hours sleep!”

She combines cardio and strength training

When it comes to feeling good and staying fit, Victoria is super disciplined. She combines a mix of cardio and strength training, getting up early and working out at 5.30am in the morning to complete her workouts before starting work.

She told The Guardian she starts with 7k on the treadmill, a mix of uphill fast walking, jogging, running.

“That’s the only time I watch TV – boxsets, documentaries – so I look forward to that. It takes 45 minutes. Then I work out with a trainer – 30 minutes legs, 30 minutes arms, toning and conditioning, then loads of planks and that kind of thing for my core.

“I am very, very disciplined in the way that I work out, in what I eat. That’s how I’m happiest. I expect a lot from my body. I’ve got four kids, I work a lot, I travel. For me to do all that, I have to eat healthily and work out.”

But she also adopts self-care into her routine

“Creating healthy sleep habits is incredibly important,” she told Harper’s Bazaar, saying it’s become a key part of her self-care practice.

“I’ve been working on incorporating less screen time and more mindfulness into my routine, which means putting my phone away before bedtime. I also like to keep crystals on my nightstand for extra clarity.”
