Their Royal Highnesses joined a spin class and competed against one another. Centre Manager Chris Pugh declared Catherine the winner, despite the fact she was wearing heeled boots.
“When the princess turned up wearing very high heels, we thought maybe our plans had been scuppered, but she absolutely smashed it,” Pugh said. “I think it might be the new type of footwear we see in the future.”
William and Catherine toured the leisure and fitness centre’s facilities and greeted young people during a gymnastics session. On their departure, they spoke with members of the public gathered outside.
Their Royal Highnesses also met staff and clients of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre on Tuesday as part of their visit to Wales this week.
