The white tie event celebrates the 500 dignitaries in London, one of the largest Diplomatic Corps in the world. Their Majesties met representatives of countries accredited to the Court of St. James.
It was not the first time the Princess has worn the Jenny Packham gown. She wore the shimmering gold ‘Georgia’ gown costing approximately £5,000, to the wedding reception of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Princess Rajwa in June 2023. The Princess paired the tiara with the late Queen’s Greville Chandelier Earrings.
It was the sixteenth time the Princess wore the Lover’s Knot tiara. The tiara was gifted to Princess Diana on her wedding and was considered one of her favourites. It originated in the mid-1910s when it was crafted for Queen Mary by the House of Garrard. The tiara was meticulously fashioned from pearls and diamonds already in possession of her family.
The King and Queen, and Prince and Princess of Wales, posed for a portrait before the evening began.
The event marks the first Diplomatic reception since King Charles and Queen Camilla were officially coronated earlier this year.
