In a new interview Richie shared some of her skincare secrets and makeup favourites.
The star’s wedding to record exec Elliot Grainge in April caught major hype online for its stunning details and south of France location at the iconic Hotel du Cap-Eden-Rock. Since then Richie has become a style leader of the moment, sharing her fashion and beauty choices through regular TikTok posts.
But in the new interview with Refinery29 Richie revealed it’s her famous father Lionel Richie, who is often the unexpected advisor to her beauty decisions.
“I get a lot of my beauty advice from my dad,” shared Richie.
“It’s been that way for my entire life. He’s like the first person that told me I should wear lotion every day, he was the first person to tell me the dermatologist I was going to, what skin products I was using.”

She says that to this day, the 74-year-old singer gives her all his ‘little hacks’.
“He’s my queen,” she confirms.
“The night before my wedding, he was like, “You’re going to go to bed, because nothing is going to cover up bags.” And I was like, “You’re right, queen, you’re right.” He’s my beauty hack – if I have any skin issues, medical issues, hair issues, nail issues, he’s my first call. He knows how to look great.”
After taking on board her dad’s skin and health wisdom, she is endeavoring to pass on the favour to her husband, prompting him to mimic her daily use of body lotion.
“You know what’s crazy, is my husband doesn’t put lotion all over his body,” she revealed.
“When we first started dating, I was like, I don’t understand. Get out of the shower and air dry… and then move on with your life?”
In terms of makeup, Richie says she embraces a natural beauty look, working with makeup brand Hourglass to promote its new Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint.
“I’m all about shining from the inside out,” she says. “Let’s celebrate the skin, let’s work on that, embrace that.”
