Princess Eugenie, who is currently in the throws of preparing for her October wedding, has revealed she recently broke royal protocol with an Instagram post.
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice we recently interviewed by British Vogue, where they opened up about how living in the public eye effects them, including speaking on the backlash they received, in regards to their outfits, after their cousin Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011.
During the interview, Princess Eugenie also mentioned a recent faux-pas she made on Instagram, after posting a picture of her father, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, in Buckingham Palace.
The snap showed her father dressed up in his royal best, standing in a grand hallway of the palace.

The reason she got in trouble, she told Vogue was because the hallway was “off limits to the public”. She then went on to comment that joining Instagram as a royal is fraught with danger and potential missteps.
The interview goes on to highlight how “A family snap from Balmoral” is deemed “too private” while a picture “on the front doorstep before Ascot last summer” is considered a “bit formal.”
The Princess has 305k Instagram followers, giving them a real insight into her life. Princess Beatrice also has Instagram but keeps her profile private – perhaps a wise move in light of the difficulties a royal on Instagram faces.
