Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has reportedly asked his three-year-old son Christopher to be his best man when he ties the knot with Princess Beatrice in May.

The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden revealed the news over the weekend, saying a spokesperson for the couple had confirmed it to him.

Christopher, who is known as Wolfie, was born in 2016 and is Mozzi’s son with his ex Dara Huang.

It comes amid news Princess Beatrice will also receive an Italian title following her wedding to the multi-millionaire property tycoon.

Mozzi’s father, Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi told the Daily Mail that Princess Beatrice will become a countess.

“Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation,” he said.

“He is a count – his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”

The Princess’ engagement has been overshadowed by recent scandals in the Royal Family.

Firstly, controversy surrounding her father’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein forced the couple to postpone their engagement party.

The pair then had to delay announcing their wedding date due to Prince Harry and Meghan revealing they were stepping back from royal duties.
