For 2024, Pantone has officially declared ‘Peach Fuzz’ as the Colour of the Year.
Calling it an appealing peach hue softly nestled between pink and orange, Pantone says Peach Fuzz is a ‘velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches heart, mind, and body. Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others’.
“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute. ” It’s a shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless,” she says.
Referring to the wealth of possibilities for using the hue, the colour authority denotes Peach Fuzz is a quietly sophisticated and contemporary shade that reflects the past, yet has been refashioned with a contemporary ambiance.
