Gucci has created a short documentary film, ‘Who is Sabato De Sarno? A Gucci Story.’

The 20-minute short film, narrated by actor and Gucci ambassador Paul Mescal, explores the vision of the brand’s new creative director Sabato De Sarno, while pulling together his first collection for the Italian fashion house.

Directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost it is said to offer an unprecedented glimpse into the creation of the Gucci Ancora fashion show held in September 2023, which marked the debut of De Sarno’s designs. That collection has just arrived in Gucci stores for the new season.

‘Who is Sabato De Sarno? A Gucci Story’ unveils never-before-seen footage, and emphasizes teamwork as a core value, as the film showcases the collaborative efforts of De Sarno and his team.  From the inception of the creative process to the meticulous execution behind the scenes, the movie presents a unique perspective on the untold stories as the ‘Gucci Ancora collection comes together.
