David Jones opened Australia’s largest fashion event, the 2020 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) for the 12th consecutive year as presenting partner of the Gala Runway.
Unveiling the new Autumn-Winter season from David Jones’ stable of exclusive designers, David Jones ambassadors Victoria Lee and Tom Derickx walked the runway alongside David Jones special guests Charlee Fraser and Cameron Stephens.
With over 160 looks, the much-loved department store boasted a huge collection from their Now and Forever AW20 campaign. Floral was the theme for this year’s show, with the hosts going all out to create a beautifully romantic botanical experience. 2500 hand peeled roses adorned the stage, with 500 garden roses and 3500 dahlias.
Designers Isabel Marant, Marni, Paris Georgia, Lacausa and Marle joined the David Jones Collection for the first time, alongside exclusive brands from the Australian fashion family, such as Bec & Bridge, Cameo, CAMILLA AND MARC, Carla Zampatti and Zimmerman.
