Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out for their first black-tie event at the Endeavour Awards in London. Markle looked glamorous in a sophisticated black Alexander McQueen trouser suit with pointed stiletto heels.
The royal couple were at the awards to acknowledge the achievements of injured and sick war veterans who have served Britain. The event supports the ambitions of these veterans to use challenges such as dog sledging, mountain climbing and scuba diving to aid their physical and mental rehabilitation.

Markle, 36, and Harry, 33, were greeted at the entrance to Goldsmiths’ Hall by the Army’s Chief of General Staff, General Sir Nick Carter, the Royal Foundation’s chief executive, Lorraine Heggessey and the head of armed forces for the foundation, David Wiseman.
Prince Harry made a moving speech after the awards were announced. “I’m continually amazed by the tenacity, fortitude and unshakeable humour displayed by the men and women who sign up to run races, cross oceans, climb mountains or take on challenges few would even contemplate”, he said.

The couple then met the recipients and nominees, as well as key supporters of the fund.

Markle and Harry are due to be married on May 19th at Windsor Castle.
