The announcement also revealed that the invitation had been extended to the Royals by the New Zealand government. A chuffed Jacinda Ardern showed her delight at their acceptance, saying that it was “wonderful news.”
It’s no secret the royal pair are huge fans of Aotearoa, “I know Prince Harry really enjoyed his last visit here in 2015,” the Prime Minister said. Meghan Markle expressed her love for New Zealand on her now-defunct blog, The Tig, when she completed a road trip around the country, calling it “My love letter to all things Kiwi.”
