Louis Vuitton’s new campaign encourages scarf styling creativity

By MiNDFOOD

Louis Vuitton Celebrate Silk
Louis Vuitton is famous for its handbags and covetable accessories, but right now, it's the brand's silk scarves in focus.

The arrival of spring is the perfect time to dip into your treasured accessories and get a little playful again.

Also perfectly timed? Louis Vuitton’s ‘Celebrate Silk’ campaign that honours the French fashion house’s long-standing art and expertise with silk.

In particular, the campaign encourages a bit of creativity, re-thinking the way the silk scarf, in a classic square or longer bandeau shape, is styled and worn about the head, body or adorning other accessories.

The versatility of the scarf as an indispensable styling tool for every season is represented in a collection of new images and clips to prompt re-thinking the way you wear yours.

Helping with the inspiration are a number of stunning scarf prints that reimagine Louis Vuitton’s monogram and it’s considerable heritage around travel, given among its first items, created back in 1854, were handmade steamer trunks.

Created in the traditional manner of the best silk pieces, these scarves feature silk-screened prints on 100% silk with contrasting, hand-rolled edges.  Louis Vuitton Silk Scarves

This year’s designs include whimsical illustrations of air travel via colourful monogrammed hot air balloons, as well as gold hardware, chains and locks and those aforementioned trunks, familiar to fans of the forward-thinking fashion and accessories brand.

The silk items become keepsakes in every wardrobe, drawn out and re-styled with every season and tied into every evolving trend. Like a vibrant work of art, the silk squares can be worn around the neck, wrapped delicately around the wrist, or adorned to the handle of a Louis Vuitton bag.

The precious silk pieces also make the perfect gift for the person who has everything or would delight in a versatile accessory that transcends fashion’s whims.
