Leonardo Dicaprio, known for being a huge advocate for the environment, has made his next eco-move. He’s teamed up with sustainable footwear company Allbirds.
The company is based in San Francisco but is a Kiwi footwear company, dedicated to creating more environmentally sustainable footwear options. The popular brand is known best for its Wool Runner, which is made from New Zealand superfine merino wool, making it soft and itch-free on the inside, durable and water-resistant on the outside, and really just comfortable all over. Their innovation doesn’t stop there; In March 2018, the company started offering their footwear with eucalyptus tree fibre. Recently, the brand has just launched a sustainable, eco-friendly sole unveiled on the label’s debut flip-flop.
Leo made a statement on twitter about the partnership, saying, “Proud to be an investor in Allbirds, a company dedicated to creating a more sustainable future by developing new materials and serving as a model for the footwear industry.”
