Giving someone special the gift of lustrous locks while supporting New Zealand’s national children’s hospital, Starship, is easy this silly season: a portion of of Joico’s in-salon Christmas gift set sales will be donated to the Starship Foundation. To celebrate the partnership we chat with the gorgeous face of the Joi of Giving campaign, Australian model Jesinta Campbell.
Tell us about how you got involved with Joico’s Joi of Giving campaign.
I’m so thrilled to be on board as an ambassador for the Christmas campaign with Joico for a second year running. I have always felt passionately about giving back to those who are less fortunate which was my major reason for coming on as ambassador for Joi of Giving.
What do you hope to achieve with this year’s campaign?
When you’re in the public eye you are granted a platform upon which you can promote and stand up for things in which you believe in or are close to your heart. Thus, this festive season I hope to raise as much awareness and funds for the Starship Foundation as I can!
What does Christmas mean to you? How are you celebrating this year?
Christmas and holiday time is always centred around family for me. Life is so hectic during the year so important to take the time out to relax and spend quality time with the people who are closest to me. My fondest memories are from the festive season; family BBQ’s, dinners, time spent out in the sunshine or at the beach, lots of laughter and a few cocktails. I love Christmas time, it’s my favourite time of year!
How do you keep your hair healthy over the summer months?
Where do I start? JOICO have the most fantastic team of hair experts whose advice is worth its weight in gold! I’ve learnt a strong hair treatment is always great at protecting against sun damage and salt water.
Do you have a favourite Joico product that you can’t live without?
The K-PAK Color Therapy Dry Oil Spray. It’s amazing!
Can you share some of your beauty secrets with us?
I can’t live without a hydrating moisturiser. I use Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream for day and Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Oil Free in the evening.
