When you’re a famous supermodel with a personality to boot, it’s no surprise that you’ll have a number of equally famous gal pals in your circle. The recently engaged Karlie Kloss is no exception, accidentally revealing a member of the royal family’s private Instagram account.

When Karlie Kloss got engaged naturally she had to call a handful of her best girlfriends to tell them the good news.

The list included tennis star Serena Williams and Princess Beatrice, whose jaw dropped and, to get to the point, who until now no one knew had a personal social media account.

In her excited state, Karlie tagged Princess Beatrice’s private Instagram account – @beayork – which only has 651 followers, including Beatrice’s mum, Sarah Ferguson, Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, and supermodel Cara Delevigne.

Royals with former working roles – such as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – aren’t allowed to have personal social media account. But those who have jobs outside the family, it’s permitted. Luckily then, Karlie probably won’t have gotten Beatrice into trouble.

The only British royal to make her Instagram account is public is Princess Eugenie. Perhaps Beatrice will now follow suit.
