Kensington Palace has released a new photo of Princess Charlotte, to mark her second birthday. As with previous family photos, the image of the young Princess was taken by her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince William and the Duchess are set to host a birthday party for the Princess at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, as both have been given the day off from royal engagements, along with the Princess’ uncle, Prince Harry.
Princess Charlotte’s privacy has been carefully guarded by her parents, and subsequently she and her brother Prince George, have only made a handful of public appearances.
It isn’t known what gifts the young princess will receive, however it is well known that the Queen (or “Gan Gan” as she is known to her great grandchildren) often leaves out gifts for her great grandchildren when they visit.
The Royal Family took to Twitter to share their thanks to well wishers
TRH would like to thank everyone for the lovely messages they have received & hope that everyone enjoys this photograph as much as they do.
