It was a successful first day for the newly proclaimed King and Queen of Denmark.

The monarchs performed their first official engagement supported by Frederik’s mother Queen Margrethe and brother, Prince Joachim. The royal couple were also joined by their son, the newly appointed Crown Prince Christian.

Queen Mary looked beautiful in a blue skirt suit and dress hat, tiptoed up the stairs into Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, alongside husband Frederik, who looked suave in a navy suit.
