Fashion with a Heart of Gold

We’ll be welcoming in spring in a matter of weeks and what better way to show off your bare arms than in one of these limited-edition Trelise Cooper T-shirts. The designs, which feature a message of inspiration, won’t only make you look good, they’ll make you feel good too. Proceeds from the sales of the T-shirts go towards supporting Tomorrow’s Foundation – an organisation dedicated to improving the conditions of disadvantaged children living in some of the most impoverished parts of India. Buy the T-shirts and find out more about this great cause here.

Fashion Meets Sustainability

Fashion and sustainability can go hand in hand. Make/Use – an innovative project dedicated to zero-waste garment creation – has transformed Objectspace in Ponsonby into an ethical fashion workshop. You don’t need to be a professional seamstress to participate either, as lead designer Holly McQuillan encourages visitors to Make/Use to create their own simple yet experimental garments. Five free patterns for zero-waste T-shirts are available at Objectspace so you can put your creativity to the test at home too.

Make/Use is in its final week at Objectspace, 8 Ponsonby Road, Auckland. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 10am till 5pm and admission is free.
