The stylish shopping and hospitality precinct in downtown Auckland is marking the optimism and upbeat vibe of the new season with a special event and other wider celebrations that extend throughout the moth.
The best part? It’s free and the public are invited to attend.
The can’t-miss showstopper is ‘Solstice,’ a fashion event headlined with a live performance by music duo BROODS.
Taking place at 8pm on Saturday 23rd of September, the runway presentation will take over Commercial Bay’s main ground-level laneway (the home to the best local labels and luxe retailers) with an edit of the most covetable styles from both local and international labels, hand-picked and readily available from its 35+ fashion retailers.
The ensembles will include complete looks from each store involved, including Kate Sylvester, Wynn Hamlyn, Twenty Seven Names, Aje, Cos and more, as well as those that tie a number together. Each outfit is masterfully pulled together by top fashion stylist Tori Ambler.
There’s no cost to attend but you’ll need to grab a ticket to the event to secure your place. The event promises to be one of the city’s largest fashion shows to date with a dynamic mix of New Zealand’s internationally renowned models and emerging stars. A digital lookbook will be available post-show,with in-store discounts and special offers available exclusively for ticket holders in the days following.
It’s not just shopping that should be on the agenda if you’re heading along. Make a night of it by hitting up Commercial Bay’s multitude of top bars and restaurants for a pre- show drink or post-show meal. After that? There’s the official After Party at Reign & Pour with DJ sets from Rain & China kicking off 9:30PM with limited edition Solstice cocktails poured by Malfy Gin.

Commercial Bay will also dress up it’s lanes and levels with it’s well known artistic seasonal installations, there will be surprise giveaways and also the opportunity to make the most of a temporary pop-up photobooth on Little Queen Street.
