Everything you need to know about MiNDFOOD STYLE S/S 18

Once again, the MiNDFOOD STYLE team packed up a dozen-plus suitcases with the hottest new-season fashion to continue our sartorial journey around the globe. This time it was the bustling streets of Tokyo and the tranquil nature of Kyoto that formed the backdrop for a fashion-packed Spring/Summer issue. Here’s what you’ll find inside.

Sometimes the simplest colour palettes are the most striking: minimalist monochrome comes alive on the cobblestone streets of Kyoto. As Dior turns 70, editor Nicole Saunders heads to Melbourne to for the NGV’s The House of Dior exhibition and chats with revered milliner, Stephen Jones. From our favourite florals to must-have swimwear, we round-up all the pieces you need in your wardrobe now.

Accoutrements have the power to make our back and outfit: inside you’ll find all the accessories you need in our dedicated Accessories Guide. Read up on the latest must-know trends hot off the runway and indulge in luxury arm candy you’ll never regret investing in.

In a MiNDFOOD STYLE exclusive, Louis Vuitton’s Cruise collection comes alive in Kyoto. The bustling pedestrian crossings of Ginza served as the the backdrop for our sports-luxe shoot; Let’s Get Physical; a cacophony of colour brings Harajuku Girls (page 146) to life; while in true Japanese style, the welcoming owners of the teeniest, tiniest bars we’ve ever laid eyes on let our crew squeeze inside to shoot the season’s glitzy evening wear.

Want to go nude this summer? We’ve rounded up everything you need to let your complexion breathe and be beautiful. We take a look at fresh fragrances, must-have skincare and talk to Natalie Portman about the makeover of Dior’s most iconic lipstick.

Japan-bound? We have curated our guide to the very best of Tokyo and Kyoto including the expansive five-story Dior boutique in Ginza.

Shot on location in Japan, the Spring/Summer 18 issue of MiNDFOOD STYLE hits newsstands Monday 18 September.

Off the runway: Pretty in Pink

From electric neon – à la Tom Ford – to soft dusky pastels – see Victoria Beckham – according to the Spring/Summer 2018 runway at New York fashion week, all shades of pink are here to stay. Our favourite fresh-off-the-catwalk trend to try? It’s got to be forgetting all the fashion rules we’ve ever been taught and clashing pale pink with fiery shades. Take a look at some of our favourite looks in all shades of pink straight from New York.
