After last season's shocking finale, fans have been eagerly awaiting Succession season four. Now we have the first trailer.

It’s safe to say Succession is one of the biggest TV shows on our screens at the moment. The HBO Max series that follows the rise and fall of the power-hungry Roy family has won 13 Emmys, and since season three’s shocking finale in December 2021, fans have eagerly been awaiting news of a Succession season four release date.

Here is everything you need to know about Succession season four.

Is there a Succession season four trailer?

Yes! The first full Succession season four trailer was released on 3 March 2023.

What is the Succession season four release date?

With the release of the new trailer, HBO has confirmed the Succession season four release date is 26 March 2023. This is not only the fourth, but the final season of Succession.

Who is in the Succession season four cast?

All the core cast members will be returning, including Brian Cox (Logan Roy), Jeremy Strong (Kendall), Sarah Snook (Siobhan) Alan Ruck (Connor) and Kieran Culkin (Roman). Mathew Macfadyen and Nicholas Braun will be returning as Tom and cousin Greg, as well as other Waystar Royco members played by J. Smith-Cameron, Peter Friedman, David Rasche and Fisher Stevens.

A few more familiar guest stars will be returning including Alexander Skarsgård, who played tech CEO Lukas Matsson.

What do we know about the Succession season four plot?

A major power struggle is the centre point of the Succession season four plot. As the synopsis reads: “The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

Based on the trailer, we can see that Logan still feels on top, delivering a classic cut-throat comment: “I’m a hundred feet tall. And these people are pygmies.”

It also appears the four Roy siblings are banding together, referred to as the “rebel” alliance, while cousin Greg seems to celebrating his rise to the top. And after his bombshell reveal in the last moments of season three, Tom is seen asking his wife Shiv, “do you want to talk about what happened?” Safe to say, there’s lots to talk about.
