Brad Pitt and Nick Cave are already well known in their fields of acting and music respectively.
But now they have revealed their talents in another area of the arts, debuting sculptural and ceramic works in an exhibition at a Finland museum.
Pitt and Cave are presenting their art as part of an exhibition of British-born artist Thomas Houseago’s work.
Thomas Houseago – WE with Nick Cave & Brad Pitt is currently on display at the Sara Hildén Art Museum in Tampere.
Renowned artist Houseago is presenting his paintings and sculptures alongside a ceramic series by Cave and sculptures by Pitt.
It’s the first time Cave and Pitt have ever exhibited their artwork. The pieces were created during the course of an ongoing dialogue with Houseago.
“Although each body of work remains individually authored, their presentation under the collective title reflects the connected nature of the works and their makers,” says the museum.
“WE is an open-ended concept that encourages new ways to think about art-making and the role of the solitary artist, which are less about ideas born exclusively to a single author.”
