King Charles arrived at the church accompanied by Queen Consort Camilla.
Following close by was his eldest son Prince William, Catherine and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. For the public walk through the Church yards, the senior royal family were joined by Mia Tindall, the daughter of Prince William’s cousin Zara, who held Louis’ hand for part of the journey.
Also present at the occasion were the King’s siblings and their families.
Princess Anne was joined by her husband Timothy Laurence, as well as her children.
Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh and his wife Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, were accompanied by their children Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and James Mountbatten-Windsor, Viscount Severn.
And Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson made an appearance. Fergie’s public royal Christmas appearance marked the first time since the 1990s the divorced couple appeared together for the Christmas tradition. They were accompanied by their daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands.
Christmas is always a special time for the royal family, just like any family celebrating around the world.
Prince William previously said about Christmas, “For me, generally, bringing the family together at Christmastime is always lovely because we’re quite spread out doing our things a lot of time throughout the year. We get very few moments to actually come together. When I see my children meet up with my cousin’s children, and they all have a wonderful time playing together, it’s very special. I look forward to that a lot.”
Unfortunately, the Prince’s brother Harry did not join the royal family. After a Netflix series, scathing book release and multiple court cases, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan did not join the royal family at Sandringham this year.
