Aborigines perform on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House September 14 in the “Festival of the Dreaming” the first of four Olympic festivals in the run up to the 2000 Games in Sydney. The festival is Sydney’s first Olympic event, but it is also a major step towards reconciliation between black and white Australia at a time when race relations are severely strained.
