Shimmering metallics and Grecian silhouettes took centre stage at Dior Haute Couture’s spring-summer 2020 collection launch.
A question of “what if women ruled the world?”, raised by artist Judy Chicago, was the driving force behind the collection.
Embracing the complexities of femininity, the collection paired soft, delicate colours with masculine fabric, brought to life with intense golds and rich textures. Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri played with drapery and twisted fabric on chiffon gowns, with silk, fringed dresses carefully detailed with braided thread.
The set, specially designed by Judy Chicago, served as the backdrop of the show, with guests led into a massive, sculpted chamber, reminiscent of the female silhouette.
