Once perfected this pizza dough recipe will be a life saver for quick midweek dinners. You can freeze it into portions and use as needed.
1 tsp caster sugar
1 cup lukewarm water
1 tbsp dry yeast
2½ cups flour
1 tsp sea salt
1 tbsp olive oil
1 Combine sugar, water and yeast in a bowl and set aside in a warm place until yeast ferments and bubbles appear.
2 Place remaining ingredients into a bowl and add yeast mixture. Mix together with floured hands until it forms a thick dough.
3 Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes or until dough is elastic and smooth. Place dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover with cling film and set aside in a warm place until it doubles in size.
4 Divide dough into desired size as per the recipe.
