Starring Cailee Spaeny in the title role and Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi as Elvis Presley, the film is based on the book Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley and Sandra Harmon.
In the book, Priscilla delves into her marriage to the King of Rock and Roll, as well as the difficulties that led to their divorce in 1973.
In addition to directing, Sofia also adapted the book – which was first released in 1985 – into a screenplay.
Elvis and Me was previously made into a TV movie in 1988.
