Fine dining takes a fatal turn in ‘The Menu’ trailer, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes

The culinary world has been garnering attention from Hollywood of late, with the likes of FX's comedy drama The Bear and one-shot British film Boiling Point taking viewers into the energetic world behind the pass.

The new film by director Mark Mylod is putting a chilling twist on the fine-dining tale. In the recently-release The Menu trailer, Anya Taylor Joy plays Margot, who joins her boyfriend Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) to an exclusive island restaurant, where enigmatic chef, played by Ralph Fiennes, takes his guests on a lavish fine dining experience, which soon turns into a chilling race for survival.

“He’s not just a chef. He’s a storyteller,” Tyler tells Margot. “The game is trying to guess what the overarching theme of the entire meal is going to be. You won’t know until the end.”

The dark comedy also stars John Leguizamo, Hong Chau, Judith Light and Arturo Castro.

The Menu is set to hit cinemas on 24 November 2022.
