A short documentary film by Australian production team Jade and Jase takes us behind the scenes with those who are fighting to keep their crafts alive.
Artisans of Kyoto follows local craftspeople in the Japanese city who demonstrate their unique skills and expertise.
“Our enlightening visit to Kyoto with local artisans revealed the profound importance of handmade items and the extraordinary people behind these traditions,” say Jade and Jase.
“This project was only supposed to be a small passion project but we met so many beautiful people in the process of filming and it really was the highlight of our time in Kyoto.
“Kyoto will now always have a special place in our heart.”
