Can oily skin be dehydrated?
Yes. “Dehydrated” refers to lack of moisture, while “oily” refers to levels of sebum, or oil, on the skin. While adequate sebum does help maintain water levels on the skin, oily skin can be dehydrated.

Clarins HydraQuench Lotion SPF 15, RRP $89.
What causes dry skin?
When skin is dry it is not producing enough oil (sebum). The cause of truly dry skin is genetic – it’s a skin type. Dry skin is characterised as very fine, overly delicate and thin. Dry skin tends to worsen with age. As we get older the skin produces less oil, and dead skin cells shed less often.
Milly recommends:
Clarins HydraQuench Rich Cream, RRP $89.
What is dehydrated skin?
Being dehydrated can affect the appearance of your skin. When the skin is dehydrated this means it is losing more water (moisture) than it is taking in. Dehydration can affect every skin type at every age, especially dry skin. Dehydration often leads to thinning of the skin, promoting the development of fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet.
Milly recommends:
Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase, RRP $89.
