New collagen options promote beauty from the inside out

Collagen supplements have been the unexpected stars of the beauty scene in recent years. While the focus on the importance of  a well-rounded skincare routine only grows, attention has also been placed on the potential benefits to skin of a nourishing diet and the part supplements may play.

Dr. LeWinn’s has been making beautiful, affordable and effective skincare for years but now the brand is also extending its approach, tackling beauty from the inside out with two new ingestible offerings.

Collagen is an abundant protein in the body and the main structural protein in the skin. It is responsible for healthy connective tissue, skin function and structure, skin hydration and firmness. Over time, the body’s ability to produce collagen naturally starts to slow, that can result in dull hair and skin and brittle nails. Consuming a collagen supplement is a simple approach that helps support the natural processes in our body including collagen production.

Marine Collagen Peptide+ Inner Beauty Powder

This powder comes in single dose sachets of 3,000mg of Hydrolysed Marine Collagen – there are 6 in a set – that intended for daily ongoing use.

Included in the formulation is key antioxidant blend called Collagen Boost Tri Complex that contains Vitamin C to support collagen production and iron absorption and other minerals; Red Quinoa and Acerola Berry for their high concentration of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to support healthy skin and spinach, which is rich in antioxidants and Vitamins A, C and K to help support the skin’s natural barrier, and also keep nails and hair healthy.

Marine Collagen Peptide+ Inner Beauty Liquid Shots

To take a quickly-absorbed concentrated dose, these liquid single-dose peach-flavoured ‘shots’ offer a high-level 10,000mg of Hydrolysed Marine Collagen as well as antioxidants and Vitamin C. You can take them on their own or mix them into still or sparkling water or to your favourite smoothie.

Key antioxidant blend Synergene Collagen Boosting Complex contains Vitamin C to again support collagen production and iron absorption and other minerals; Blueberry for its high fiber and skin
loving nutrients such as zinc and iron, along with its ability to support collagen synthesis in the body. Blueberry is also has anti-inflammatory properties and again, spinach is included for its antioxidants and Vitamins A, C and K.

Billie Eilish releasing perfume based on her ‘favorite smell in the world’

The latest celebrity to reveal a signature perfume as an extension of their personal brand is perhaps not who you’d expect.

Dolly Parton, Ariana Grande and Travis Scott have all released their own fragrances this year and we had our money on Adele to be next in line, but we’re still waiting on that one.

In fact, it’s singer Billie Eilish who revealed the bottle for Eilish, her first fragrance set to launch next month, on her Instagram.

“Perfumes have been one of my greatest joys in life, and I’ve always wanted to make one,” the 19-year-old, told Vogue, saying she spent a little over a year designing Eilish, her first fragrance set to launch next month.

Retaining full-control of the creative process, the vanilla-heavy scent was inspired by baking with her mother as a child and growing to love the gourmand spice. The fragrance is said to be rounded out with ‘cosy’ notes of amber and musk.

“This is a scent that I’ve been chasing for years and years, she announced on her initial Instagram post“This is my favorite smell in the WORLD. Fragrance has always been such an enormous part of my life and existence since I can remember, and it was a dream to create this scent and bring my ideas to life. This has been one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done.”

Eilish also pointed out to Vogue scent has always played a key part of her creative process.

“I have synaesthesia, so my favorite smells are these like, amber-colored smells, to me, in my brain,” said Eilish of the neurological condition in which information stimulates several of your senses in different ways, including perceiving aromas as colours or objects and sounds or music as colours. It’s something Kiwi singer Lorde has also admitted she experiences.

“I have a really strong nose, and since I was like a little kid, smells are all I think about,” Eilish said. “I associate everything through my nose—like, for real.”

The bottle is a a metallic representation of a bust the singer says isn’t based on her, or any other person.

Created in partnership with Parlux, a global beauty company that designs, manufactures, markets, and distributes prestige fragrances and has also worked with Paris Hilton, Jason Wu and Sofia Vergara, Eilish is said to be keen to extend her ideas into candles, body products and more.

The perfume is set to retail exclusively on for US$68.
