Wellington’s restaurants, venues, laneways and carparks are host to wild celebrations of food and beverage through exclusive set menus, burgers, cocktails, unforgettable events and pop ups.

Don’t miss your chance to put on your favourite party dress and join WOAP in celebrating their 10th birthday. Over 17 days there will be over 200 restaurants dishing up hundreds of burgers, cocktails and festival dishes. 

Feast at banquets, fiestas, soirées, and shindigs as local chefs team up with international superstars to deliver their interpretation of this years theme ‘party’. Go back in time and experience the Thistle’s infamous reputation as more than just a drinking hole – think risqué, unexpected and more than meets the eye. Get out your best frock, dust off that suit and take a journey through the decades.

There will be a collection of dining experience closely intertwined with theatrics this year. Millers O’Brien teams up with New Zealand-based Mexican artist Raul Ortega Ayala to recreate The Last Supper. This one-night-only experience takes you on an authentic exploration of history’s most depicted meal. If you’re seated at the table be prepared to take centre stage – your dining experience will be filmed before an audience. The dinner and film will become part of Ayala’s first NZ solo exhibition, Food for Thought.

With the rise of veganism there will be an array of events showcasing how delicious vegan food can be. Café Sweet Release will invite you to explore the may ways chickpea brine can be used in everyday baking. Chow will go entirely vegan for a day and create vegan takes on the Chow’s best-loved classics as well as fresh new creation and Olive chefs present a four-course exploration of vegan and plant-based ingredients.
