The vitamin you need when you’re stressed
In times of excess stress, B vitamins play a vital role in maintaining your energy levels and mood regulation.

There are eight different B vitamins, all of which are essential for good mental health. Most of these vitamins can’t be stored by the body and must be consumed regularly in the diet.

Food processing and excess alcohol consumption can also destroy or reduce the availability of many of these vitamins.

While a healthy diet is always important, in times of excess stress foods that can give you a healthy dose of B vitamins is highly recommended for your mental and physical well-being. Good sources of B vitamins include: leafy vegetables, fruit, whole grains, seeds, legumes, nuts, yoghurt, eggs, fish, red meat and chicken.
