The Ultimate Bucket Hats for Summer à la Emily in Paris

The bucket hat is back and better than ever, and no doubt this 90s fashion staple has Emily in Paris to thank for bringing the look up to date.

We take you through some of the best designer bucket hats that you need to add to your summer wardrobe wish list.

Is it for the beach? Is it for the races? Who can tell! That’s the beauty of the Kaleidioscopic Small Brim Bucket with its ambiguous veil. This is a bucket hat that transcends the seasons and could be suitable for just about any occasion if you wear it right.

This funky style, another Dior special, is perfect for days spent lounging by the pool and on the sand. We’re all about the vibrant Dior and Shawn Bucket Hat that looks made for Miami.

Your new bucket hat doesn’t have to break the bank. If you’re not quite ready to pay Dior prices for this summer’s hat trend, this Cotton On Bonnie Bucket Hat comes in a range of prints that have serious 90s vibes and are giving us childhood flashbacks.

Whether you’re going for sporty or sophisticated, you can find a bucket hat for any dress code these days. The Reversible Bucket Hat by Nike is two sports luxe looks for the price of one, while the GG lamé bucket hat is perfect for when you’re feeling a little fancy. To replicate the Emily in Paris look, get your hands on a hat by the brand worn by Lily Collins in the show – the Kangol Bermuda Bucket Hat.

In addition to bucket hats, we’ll be embracing raffia this summer, so we love that there’s a hat that combines the two trends. This slightly oversized Lack of Color style will be a staple for summer picnics and beach strolls.

Emma Lewisham Announces its 100% Natural, High-Performing Illuminating Cleansing Range

Be it favour for her considered ingredient approach, a movement to buy local in a challenging year for the economy, or just the fact her products actually really work, there’s little doubt Kiwi Emma Lewisham’s eponymous skincare brand has been a smash hit in the little over a year since launch.

We have an inkling it’s a combination of all three, and with two new additions landing this week, it’s likely her reputation for effective luxury skincare will be solidified even more.

A desire to round out a worthwhile skincare routine pushed Lewisham to add a cleanser and an exfoliating treatment to her stable which already contains a lauded hyperpigmentation serum as well as SPF, a night oil and a night cream.

“Proper cleansing and exfoliation slows down ageing, enables the following skincare products to penetrate the epidermis effectively, and lays the building blocks for strong overall skin health,” points out Lewisham.

Formulating her oil cleanser – a winner for removing makeup and spf – with flower extracts  including Bulgarian lavender, neroli absolute and rose absolute as well as pollution-vanquishing Vitamin E, means it’s designed to brighten and gently encourage cell turnover while ensuring skin is left hydrated and soft – not stripped – when it’s rinsed easily away with water.

Tackling a physical exfoliant is a rarity these days post microbead ban, with plenty of brands preferring to go the AHA route to skin refreshing and resurfacing, but a Lewisham says she’s gone one better – combining the most effective AHA’s including Lactic Acid from maize and BHA from Willow Bark, with an environmentally friendly, round-shaped jojoba beads. We can attest the soft, cushy nature of the particles is unlike any harsh, scratchy scrub we’ve ever tried, the combination perfect for using a couple of times a week after cleansing to reveal bright, clear skin. Added Pentavitin helps skin retain hydration long afterwards too.

“I’ve wanted to release a truly efficacious, but 100% natural, cleansing range that was true to our brand’s core for many years, explains Lewisham. “I believe cleansing is often a second thought. People don’t place enough importance on cleansing properly and exfoliating. It’s the underdog of the skincare industry, and I’ve set out to change this.”

The new products are also refillable and recyclable through the Emma Lewisham Beauty Circle program.
