Sydney’s best takeaway options for the colder weather

Sydney’s best takeaway options for the colder weather
Dining out is slowly making a comeback, but with the weather cooling down, we're becoming a bit more reluctant to leave the comfort of our homes.

Thankfully, there are more takeaway options than ever, and we’re keen to take advantage of the chance to eat delicious comfort food from our favourite restaurants at home.

Here are the places we can’t wait to order from as winter makes its way towards us.

Kitchen by Mike at Home

Mike McEnearney of Kitchen by Mike has launched Kitchen by Mike at Home – and it’s here to stay. Customers can order delicious, warming meals such as wagyu beef shin and stout pot pie with suet crust, meatloaf in tomato sauce, moroccan lamb stew, or indulge in some of the more regular Kitchen by Mike favourite’s such as chicken liver pate or twice baked goat’s cheese soufflé.

Lankan Filling Station

Fill up on Sri Lankan curries from Lankan Filling Station that come ready to heat and eat at your convenience. Or order from their selection of spices to experiment with your own curry creations at home.

Ciccia Bella

This Bondi eatery is now offering its handmade pastas, flavoursome sauces and selections of starters for you to take home. Perfect for a cosy date night, the almost-ready meals include antipasti, a pasta main, and a dessert. All you need to do is cook the pasta.

We love the idea of chowing down on a Chiswick lamb shoulder while sipping on some red wine at home. Their moorish wood-fire flatbread, duck, chicken and pea pie, and honey-roasted pumpkin also look particularly appealing.

Chin Chin

Craving that Chin Chin butter chicken? What could be better than being able to eat it from home? For the first time ever, you can order their south-east Asian food that packs a punch to take away from 4pm-9pm daily either through their website or via phone.

Chaco Ramen

Ramen is super time-consuming to make at home if you want to do it right, so we were relieved to discover you can order Chaco Ramen to take away. They also have their Japanese curries available to order and tasty nibbles such as karaage chicken.

The Apollo

Did someone say saganaki? If you’re craving a Greek feast, The Apollo’s ‘The Full Greek’ menu is now available to eat at home. You can order it for as few as two people, or as many as six. You can have it arrive ready to eat, or follow the instructions to finish it off at home.

Does that puffy bread stay puffy when you order it to take away? Now is your chance to find out. And why not warm up with some lamb ragu while you’re at it? The Italian food from Totti’s is now available for pick-up from Bondi.
