With its cutting-edge asymmetrical design, the new Silver Nova offers wide open spaces and breathtaking views of spectacular destinations everywhere you look, in impressive ultra-luxury.

Silversea Cruises’ newest ship, Silver Nova, has recently completed its maiden voyage, a spectacular roundtrip from Venice, taking guests to ports in Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. “It was incredibly emotional to welcome guests aboard Silver Nova ahead of her maiden voyage,” said Barbara Muckermann, president, Silversea Cruises. “Benefiting from an innovative asymmetrical design, she immerses guests into the destination at every turn.” As one of the most spacious ships at sea, and with the broadest array of bars, lounges, and restaurants in ultra-luxury cruise travel, Silver Nova has a lot to celebrate. Silver Nova revolutionises ultra-luxury cruising and sets the new category standard,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group. “From her innovative horizontal design to her emphasis on sustainable operations, Silver Nova speaks to Royal Caribbean Group’s commitment to deliver the world’s best vacations, responsibly.”

The 12th ship in the leading ultra-luxury cruise line’s fleet, and the first Nova-class ship for Silversea, Silver Nova has been purpose-built for ocean cruising.

The premium Otium Suites are a new addition to the Silversea line.

Hosting up to 728 guests in 13 different category suites, Silver Nova offers one of the most personalised levels of service at sea with a crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1.3, including butler service for all suites. “Silver Nova is unlike anything we have seen in the luxury cruise industry so far,” said Roberto Bruzzone, SVP Marine Operations, Silversea Cruises. “As well as being the most sustainable ultra-luxury ship at sea, Silver Nova introduces our guests to a new level of comfort.” With a gross tonnage of 54,700 tons, Silver Nova offers a space-to-guest ratio of 75 GRT-per-passenger, becoming one of the most spacious cruise ships ever built. All suites feature balcony access and offer stunning 270 degree views, thanks to the new design.

Silver Nova also features a new type of suite, known as Otium, which has a large living room area and a dedicated dining area, and a very large balcony facing directly aft. The Otium Suite also has a jacuzzi on the balcony, a new feature for Silversea.

Why not dine al fresco at the Marquee aboard Silversea Silver Nova

Luxury Experiences

Outside your suite, you are spoiled for choice with an outstanding selection of dining venues across the ship, as well as a series of onboard luxury experiences that will relax and pamper you throughout your voyage.

Onboard there’s a variety of dining choices, with eight restaurants, from formal to casual, featuring an impressive selection of cuisines. Options include La Terrazza, the largest of Silver Nova’s restaurants, which has both indoor and outdoor spaces and features a large buffet area. Atlantide is the most spacious restaurant and stars modern architectural details.

La Dame is Silversea’s signature French restaurant, an elegant and formal restaurant, while Kaiseki serves the finest Asian cuisine, primarily Japanese fare. Silver Nova’s asymmetrical design has enabled the introduction of The Marquee on deck 10 -– a new food and drinks venue with far-reaching view. The al fresco dining venue welcomes up to 220 guests, incorporating The Grill and Spaccanapoli – two of Silversea’s signature venues. In addition to eight restaurants, Silver Nova hosts up to 70 guests in the vibrant Arts Café – a welcoming space in which to enjoy snacks and refreshments.

Enjoy a luxury gourmet experience onboard at S.A.L.T. Lab

Silver Nova also stars Silversea’s innovative culinary programme, S.A.L.T., which features places, recipes and people that come together for a new luxury gourmet experience. From menus that change with each place the ship visits, to onboard spaces for learning how to create local dishes, the S.A.L.T. programme brings the flavours of the world to you. Onboard S.A.L.T. Lab is an interactive cooking school by day, and a unique chef’s table by night. The S.A.L.T. Bar and Kitchen offer a plethora of dishes and drinks inspired by the destination.

There are also sophisticated bars and lounges to enjoy. Oozing Italian glamour, Dolce Vita is a relaxed, refined bar with a nightly piano player. Perfect for a pre-dinner apéritif, or even a post-dinner cocktail, Dolce Vita is truly the beating heart of social life on board. Other public spaces include The Venetian Lounge that spans two stories and is home to the ship’s lectures, entertainment performances and events. The Shelter is a new evening-only venue for Silversea providing a chic space for pre- and post-dinner cocktails.

When it comes to pampering and relaxation, Silver Nova’s Otium Spa has it all. The space incorporates an indoor swimming pool; thermal area with steam and sauna rooms, eight treatment rooms, a tranquil relaxation area; fitness centre; and beauty salon. Inspired by the design of ancient Roman baths, the Otium Spa has an open, welcoming feel offering wellness programmes that are designed to offer guests comfort and pleasure through unique experiences of wellbeing, relaxation and indulgence.

Whether you’re lounging on the pool deck, enjoying a drink at the Dusk Bar or enjoying some relaxation at the Otium Spa – life onboard Silver Nova is pure luxury, only to be matched by its picture-perfect excursions. From the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, South America, Alaska, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Silver Nova’s launch itineraries are a showcase of discovery through to spring 2025. One of the star itineraries in the stellar line-up of cruises is Grand South America 2024, a 71-day, 38-destination roundtrip voyage of South America. It voyages deep inland and sails the Amazon River all the way to magical Manaus at the heart of the continent, and then to the southern tip of the world at Ushuaia, before guests can mix it up with the locals at the spectacular Rio de Janeiro Carnival.

The Silver Nova’s Atrium is typical of the lavish attention to detail paid to the stylish décor.

Championing the environment

Silver Nova is innovative not just in design but also in energy efficiency and waste management. With its hybrid power sources, optimised hull design and innovative technologies, Silver Nova is 40% more energy efficient than required international maritime standards. As well as being shore power ready, meaning a reduction in emissions by connecting to green electrical grids when available, Silver Nova is Silversea’s first ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the cleanest burning marine fuel available at scale. The ship’s micro auto gasification system reduces onboard waste volume and turns trash into energy. A cutting-edge waste heat recovery system also allows heat produced by operations – such as air conditioning – to be repurposed, eg. by heating showers and hot tubs.

Art onboard

Silver Nova’s art collection includes 1,766 artworks and 230 books by 59 artists from 25 countries. Curated by ICArt, Silver Nova’s art collection shines a light on a new way of sensing, a new way of being, and a new way of discovering. The art program brings together an international collection of works that sparks curiosity and offers a visual journey. The collection is diverse, with varying forms, lines and colours, explored not only with paintings but also through materials. Nearly all of the artworks aboard Silver Nova have been commissioned for specific locations.
