Speaking alongside her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars, Doherty received a heartfelt standing ovation from fans.
In her emotional address, she shared her gratitude: “Thank you so much. You guys know how much I love crying constantly. And I do, it seems. So, thank you.”
Doherty, who initially battled breast cancer in 2015 and entered remission two years later, also disclosed that she had secretly undergone surgery to remove the tumour and begin radiation treatments.
Addressing her ongoing health struggle, she told the audience, “I have a fight for my life, that I deal with every day. I think I am really great.”
Despite her health challenges, Doherty maintained her sense of humour and touched on her recent divorce from her third husband, Kurt Iswarienko. She quipped, “My other profession is getting engaged, married, and divorced, and I’m doing that very well.”
Doherty’s representative previously stated that divorce was the “last thing” the actress wanted, but circumstances left her with no other option.
Following her split, Shannen Doherty emphasised her positive outlook: “I’m doing better than OK. I’m doing well. I feel strong and healthy and confident and happy.”
