Celebrate the silly season with Chapel Street’s newcomer Resto BoBo at the annual French Xmas Market, held at Alliance Française de Melbourne’s Eildon Mansion in St. Kilda, on Saturday 9 – 10 December. The French Xmas Market will also showcase a selection of French wine, delicious cheeses, music, entertainment and activities suitable for the whole family. Face painting, balloon twisting, photo booths and free demonstrations will ensure a fun, festive and French day out.
Festival goers will be able to indulge in Resto BoBo’s signature flambée (French pizza) for a taste of French cuisine like no other. Flambée toppings include smoked bacon, aged comte cheese, pecan nuts, Blue d’Auvergne cheese, vanilla poached pear and spicy salmon, all on an ultra-thin, crisp dough base with a light layer of white sauce.
Guillaume Theron (previously of Pontoon and Hawker Hall), Resto BoBo’s in-house executive chef was born and trained in France and has created a stand out menu with a fusion of his French and Australian experience.
Festivities will continue back at Resto BoBo throughout the season, providing a great place for functions and get-togethers, with a generous menu designed to share. Pair the flambée with the likes of the Kir Royale with blackcurrant sirop and Cremant d’Alsace or the Mademoiselle with Vedrenne Melon liqueur, Alsatian Pinot Blanc and a dash of syrup.
