In a candid Instagram post, Rebel Wilson opened up about the challenges she's facing with weight gain, acknowledging the toll stress has taken on her body.

The Australian actress and comedian, known for her roles in the Pitch Perfect series, revealed that her rigorous work schedule has contributed to a weight gain of 14kgs (30 pounds).

Despite her professional achievements, Wilson expressed feeling a sense of disappointment about the impact on her body, stating, “It makes me feel bad about myself…it shouldn’t…but it does.” The actress shared a photo of herself on a boat, along with a heartfelt caption discussing the struggles she’s currently facing. She reached out to her followers, asking if anyone else is going through a similar experience.

This revelation comes after Wilson’s documented weight-loss journey in 2020 when she successfully shed 35kg (77lbs) as part of her declared “year of health.” However, the recent admission reflects the challenges many individuals face in maintaining a healthy lifestyle amid hectic schedules and external pressures.

The actress has been transparent about her battles with emotional eating, emphasising the impact of stress associated with international fame. During an appearance on The Drew in November 2020, Wilson disclosed her struggles with trying various “fads and diets” to address her weight concerns.

Rebel Wilson’s upcoming memoir, “Rebel Rising,” set to release in April, is expected to delve into her personal journey, shedding light on her experiences and challenges. Simultaneously, she is immersed in her feature directorial debut, “The Deb,” a musical comedy that adds another dimension to her multifaceted career.
