NZ Fashion Week schedule released

New Zealand Fashion Week will kick off with an opening party on August 25.

Here’s the schedule, which could change, but if you want to know who is showing when, here’s a peek at the official schedule released today.

We’re excited that Dunedin label NOM*d is back and taking the opening show position.

Andrea Moore (pictured) is one of many designers who will be part of more than one show throughout the week presenting to both media and buyers with a solo show on August 27 and then during NZ Fashion Weekend (open to the public) at the Viaduct Events Centre.

Tuesday 26 August

Accolade for Dame Cooper

Dame Trelise Cooper is the inaugural New Zealand recipient of the ‘Mercedes Benz Presents’ accolade.

Past recipients of the prestigious honour around the globe include Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Badgely Mischka and Carla Zampatti.

The Mercedes-Benz Presents global programme recognises designers who demonstrate dedication to the use of quality materials, unique style and innovative design. Dame Cooper has also been a brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz since 2002.

Cooper’s Mercedes-Benz Presents Trelise Cooper will premiere at New Zealand Fashion Week, of which Mercedes-Benz is also an elite sponsor.

Mercedes-Benz already supports fashion events in 27 countries and is the title sponsor of fashion weeks in New York, Berlin, Sydney and Beijing, and a major sponsor of fashion weeks in Paris, London and Milan.

At New Zealand Fashion Week next month it will be providing the official vehicle fleet for the event.
